Create New AI Rules

What are AI rules? AI rules are pre-set customization criteria you can apply to your content within Describely. Use them within chat or bulk generations to guide the AI with instructions that match your business's product content needs.

  1. Click the + Create New button in the upper right. If it's your first time creating an AI rule, the Examples & Tips section of this article will help guide you!
  2. Name your ruleset and add your custom rules.
  3. Once you're ready, click the green Save and Apply button in the lower right.

Manage Existing AI Rules

Important: Any edits you make to existing AI rules will impact all team members using them.

  1. To access existing rules, click AI Rulesets in the left sidebar. You'll see a list of Describely default rules that cannot be edited along with any custom rulesets you or your team have created.
  2. Click the Edit button to the right of any custom ruleset you'd like to update.
  3. Once you're ready, click the green Save and Apply button in the lower right.

Need to use the same custom ruleset across your entire account? Click the green Set as Default button to the right of your ruleset!

Now, that ruleset will automatically be selected in catalogs that don't have a catalog default ruleset applied.

  3. Name your custom voice and perfect the description. The best for format for your description is 3-5 descriptive words separated by a comma.
  4. Click the Save button in the lower right.

Congrats! Now your custom voice can be used in chat and bulk or added to an AI rule.

  2. Click the Create New button to set up a new restricted keyword set.
