When you add or import a product into Describely with an image, it will automatically appear in the My Images section of the sidebar, where you can edit your images one at a time or in bulk.

Need to edit images not tied to a product in Describely? From My Images, upload them on the Other Images tab. From there, you can assign to products and even create content!

Stay organized: Have a lot of images? Note the sort and filter options at the top. ☝️

Edit multiple backgrounds at once

  1. Go to My Images on the left sidebar.
  2. Select up to 10 products you'd like to edit.
  3. Click Process Images > Change Background in the upper right corner.
  4. Choose a transparent, white, or alternative color background OR select a background image. Note: Before you can choose a background image, you'll first need to upload one.

Voila! You'll see your new images in the Related Images column to the right of the original.

Deleting the original: Editing the background doesn't delete the original photo, but adds it as an additional image. You can delete any image from the Product Details tab of a given product.

Add a background image

  1. Click My Images on the left sidebar.
  2. Navigate to the Other Images tab at the top.
  3. On the right, click Upload to upload your image file.
  4. Under Actions, select the icon on the far right to set the image as a background image.

  5. Voila! Now, your image will be available for use when editing multiple backgrounds.

Remove a single background

Easy peasy ✨  just click the "Change Background" icon to the far right of an image.

Describely will automatically remove the background of your image and replace it with a transparent one, which you'll see on the far right.

Need a colored background or background image? You can only choose a background color or image when you edit multiple photos in bulk. 😉

Resize your image

  1. Select the image(s) you would like to resize, then click Process Images > Resize Image in the upper right corner.
  2. Choose the dimension that you would like to resize your image to.Screenshot 2025-03-14 at 2.13.54 PM
  3. Click Process Image and your new images will appear in the Related Images column once finished processing.

You can choose to maintain the aspect ratio of your current image, or enter your desired width and height manually.

Convert your images to a different format

You can convert your images to png, jpeg, webp, or gif format by selecting Process Images > Convert Format.

Tip: You can do any or all of change image background, resize image, convert format in the same process to save time.

Save & download your images

Once you generate your new backgrounds, you'll see options to save, delete, expand, and download each new image.
