How to Optimize Content with Product Images

Use your product photos to write enriched, detailed product descriptions and other content!

In this article

Important: Before you can use product images to generate content, you'll first need to import them to a product catalog, upload them under My Images on the sidebar > Other Images, OR pull them in via data enrichment.

Create content for multiple products

If you've imported images with your products into Describely, this article will walk you through creating content for multiple products at once from your catalog!

Follow the steps below if you've uploaded images that are NOT linked to a product in Describely yet:

  1. From the My Images section of the sidebar, open the Other Images tab.
  2. Select the product(s) you'd like to create content for.
  3. Click Generate Content on the top right.
  4. Re-name your bulk job if you'd like (it will default to the current date and timestamp).
  5.  Select the Content Ruleset you'd like to apply to your generation from the dropdown. To create a new ruleset, click the pencil icon and + New Ruleset.
  6. Select the content fields you'd like to create. Title is mandatory and will already be selected.
Note: Bullet points can be merged to the end of your descriptions when you publish.
  7.  Choose a catalog to assign your product to.
  8. Click Start Bulk Generate. When the generation is complete, you'll see a notification at the top indicating that your bulk job is ready for review.
  9. Learn more about our bulk review and publishing in this article.

Extract product data from an image

  1. From your catalog, click into any product.
  2. Click Extract Product Data From Images to be brought to the AI Product Editor.
  3. Describely will automatically extract keywords and other product information from your image and incorporate them in a new product description. Voila!

Curious what data was extracted from your image? Check out the blue keywords in the screenshot above!
