Try these tried and true ruleset instructions to enhance your content quality.

Prompts for beginners

  • Tell a story of how the product would benefit the buyer.
  • Make the description holiday themed.
  • Explain how everyone is raving about the product.
  • End with a call to action.
  • Always write to a business audience.
  • Always write to a DTC audience.
  • Include a call-to-action that helps a customer visualize their life with the product category's benefits.
  • Write a title between 20 and 60 characters.
  • Include the product title in the first sentence.
  • Use sentence case capitalization.
  • Only mention the product title once in the description.
  • Avoid using exclamation points.
  • Always include the dimensions of the product as the 1st bullet point. 
  • Focus on the facts and make claims based on the original data only. Avoid assumptions not mentioned in the original data.

Prompts for advanced users

  • Follow this title format: [Brand] [SKU] [Keyword] (replace with any other Describely default fields or mapped custom CSV fields).
  • Start with a bold h2 header with the [Product Title] from the original data.
  • Follow with 3-5 sections highlighting core product benefits, starting with a 50-character h3 header followed by a bulleted list of 5 supporting specifications from the original data.
  • In the first paragraph, introduce the product and bold the product title. 
  • In the first sentence, include the exact [Type] without any changes.
  • In the second paragraph, include 5 different key features or product specifications in a bulleted list.
  • Only mention Attribute Y if Attribute X is [Z].
  • Mention this verbatim exactly as is without changes: "[Any fixed language / disclaimer you don't want changed]"
  • End with either "See more.", "View more.", or "Read more." Alternate this for each product.
  • Include a table that shows the following product information: Attribute X, Y, & Z.
