Research new keywords & optimize content
Already have a list of SEO keywords you'd like to use? Include them in your product import, or head over to your product page in Describely to add them as keywords.
- Select the Catalogs tab on the left-hand toolbar and click into your catalog.
- Click into the product you'd like to optimize.
- Select the SEO Tools tab on the right.
- Under Product Page Analytics, you'll see your product page content performance if you've connected Google Search Console to Describely. Check out this article to learn more.
- Describely will recommend search phrases to optimize your content for, based on queries driving traffic according to Google Search Console. Select or manually add up to 3 you'd like to rank for to the text box below.
- Click the blue arrow to reques recommended keywords based on your targeted search phrases.
- On the left, you'll see a list of recommended keywords (such as product category, features, and materials) found on top-ranking pages for your search terms.
- Review the keywords for relevancy to your product, and click on those you'd like to include in your content. This will add them to your Selected SEO Keywords list on the right.
Note: If needed, add new keywords manually by clicking the plus icon to the right of Additional SEO Keywords. - When you're ready, click the Generate SEO Optimized Description button to write a product description using your new keywords.
Tip: To use these in bulk content creation later, click Save Keywords.
- Review the content and select either Regenerate or Edit to make changes, or Save to Catalog to apply the new description to your product in Describely. Voila!

Evaluate content for SEO
Get a quick, high-level evaluation of how well your product page content is optimized for search engines with Describely's SEO Score.
This feature analyzes the keyword usage in your content to give a quick snapshot of how your product would rank against competitors.
- From your catalog, select one or more products that you'd like to assess and click the SEO Score button.
- You'll see a pop-up that SEO evaluation has started for your selected products, and another once it's complete.
- After the evaluation is finished, you'll see a letter score to the right of your product image representing the overall health of your product content.
Note: The score given does not guarantee actual performance or rankings in search engines, which use complex and evolving algorithms. Always use your SEO Score as a guiding metric rather than a definitive predictor of search visibility.
- To improve your SEO score, continue to research keywords and optimize your content.
- Once you've enriched your content with additional keywords, you can run the SEO Score again to monitor progress and continuously improve your visibility in search results!
Important: Products are "activated" after you've scored them for SEO. They will then count towards your monthly plan limits, and you will have unlimited generations for these products through your current billing cycle!
